hey guys,
after all those years I found some errors in the database
funny enough it went unnoticed, so I copied them from Whiteulver database and then Gazchap from my file
have a look at Greek club teams - there are differences from actual in-game database 96/97
those teams do not exist in in-game 96/97 database:
KASTORIA
VERIA
those teams should be non-league:
KAVALA
those teams should be in league:
ETHNIKOS
LARISSA
PANIONIOS
those teams exist in in-game 96/97 database, but not in ours:
KORINTHOS
PIERIKOS
I came across those errors by pure chance... I got a file with an extract of 96/97 data from Emmeti and doublechecked the sum of all players values and it differed from my excel file... at first we thought there is some problem with Emmeti s extraction tool, but it worked perfect for 16/17 database so I started to look in my file and found the problem were the teams on Greece league. Several teams are different, as well as their players. My guess is Whiteulver had Greece teams somehow altered on his game data before extracting the database.

Nice research! How did you stumble over this?
Somehow, it makes sense... whiteulver is a Greek guy!

I notice that tackling (T) and heading (H) in general show up in place of one another either on the game or on the databases.
For example Yuri Shelepnitsky in Altay, Turkey show up to have 3 tackling and 1 heading on gazchap, but the 3 best attributes are SHC in the game,
or Hung Myung-Bo of South Korea, Asia, show up to have 6 tackling and 2 heading, but the 3 best attributes are HPS in the game.
Does anybody have an idea what the true values must be in such cases ?
Edit: Corrected the places of heading and tackling

hmm
you meant heading 1 and tackling 3 for Yuri Shelepnitsky and heading 2 and tackling 6 for Hung Myung-Bo?
but in general you re right - about those best skills shown in the game
interesting... I have also checked with Whiteulver s editor and shows the same - that Korean defender has mismatch in his MAJOR (best skills) and actual skills

Yes. The reverse is also true for central defenders seeming to have higher heading than tackling, they also have T in place of H in the 3 attributes in the game. I m not sure but maybe it s only about central defenders.
Could it be that the game database has this irregularity placing tackling and heading in place of one another for central defenders ?
