Install Amiga SWOS with 12/13 update on Nintendo Wii!

Hi guys, in addition to my success at installing PC SWOS on my Mac OSX, ive also managed to get the Amiga SWOS 2012/2013 working on my Nintendo Wii. This is via use of the WiiUAE Amiga Emulator, and boots a working copy of SWOS with the 12/13 update straight from hard disk (SD Card).

If anyone needs any help with setting this up id be very happy to help. Just send me a PM, or raise the issue here on this thread. Please send me PM first to bump my attention to the forum, as i dont check back every day.

Firstly have you got Homebrew channel installed on your Wii? If you havent, Homebrew is a custom firmware which allows you to download free 3rd party software like emulators. This is where you can download the Amiga Emulator. To install Homebrew you will need an SD card and SD card reader (for your PC) to download some software from your PC, to install on the Wii. Follow this link for full instructions on how to mod your Wii (you only need to follow video 2/3 onwards for the hacking tutorial. Its really easy....

Once you have Homebrew and WiiUAE (Amiga Emulator) installed I can send you the the HDF (hard disk file) for SWOS with the 12/13 update and guide you on how to set it up. It takes about 10 minutes and isnt at all hard.

I am using a Mac rather than a PC though - will that complicate things?

Not at all, i used a mac for the whole process. Your only using it to download files to your sd card. You will need an unpacking tool like UnRarX or Zipeg or unzip the files. But theyre free and easily found on the net.

Hello did anyone get this setup on the Wii?

It looks like I need to mount the HDF file on the WINUAE on the Wii, but I don t know how to do this as I don t get any options for this in the config.
When I boot up I simply get the purple screen with a colourful tick on the left and a floppy disk drive on the right.

Does anyone know what I need to do?
I ve sent lescour a PM but he hasn t been on here since December.

Does anyone know where you can get 13-14 updates for wii uae?

I have an 11-12 hdf file but wii uae doesn t appear to read it.
