The controller is working finally with fire button!
Although in calibration, (same as before, as I didn t mention it in the first place) when holding down top/left, two values were 24 which is fine and then to bottom/right - the values are changing wildly constantly and the same goes for centering. If I do it every time, they are always different.
However, when playing in the game, the controller seemed ok. Will try it out on online match.
I suppose there s no way to increase the resolution in swos, no? Just play in the full-screen mode?
Thanks

Good to hear that the controller works now.
About resolution: You mean the window size, yes?
You can set this. How? Edit the file dosbox.conf accordingly:

More info:
www.dosbox.com/wiki/Dosbox.conf ( -- 2.1)
Where is dosbox.conf ?
Windows XP
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\DOSBox\dosbox-{version}.conf
Windows Vista, Windows 7 Windows 8.x
{system drive}:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\DOSBox\dosbox-{version}.conf

I didn t have the same success. I get the same issue as you when calibrating the controller. 24/24 in top left, other numbers are crazy high, and not working for me afterwards on windows 7. I cant move in menus.
On my xp machine, calibration worked okay and afterwards in the menus. But ingame i can only run up and left, so it seems calibration was not a success after all. Tried 2 different amiga controllers for this. I also did a quick calibration in Control panel.
So to sum up, now controls is not working for me, but fire button is

Changing to smaller default normalx2 (without the fullscreen), there was still a bit of issue going on but switching back to the fullscreen has restored the controller back to full control (apart from calibration issue I mentioned). A strange issue.
I m using Windows XP.
@djowger, so I m not the only one.
I guess a practical solution is to download a joytoplay program and convert the controller s input to keyboard s input.

I can still play on my normal keyboard, but that is not really the issue here.

Need to find the error reason.
You could also try some other dos game with your controllers.

Please check if controller works with normal, plain SWOS 96/97 in dosbox, without SWOS++ extension.

Not possible for me, as adaptor only allows 1 button, which is my problem in the first place. I dont have any other usb gamepads.
Please suggest other games to test, preferably a 1 button game.
