I think it's a problem with your gamepad.
Can you install DS4Windows and set it up as Xinput device profile? Then it should appear as XBOX 360 CONTROLLER in game options.

I'm not having this issue, on the contrary I find it more responsive both online and offline vs the old Kaillera.
