I am preparing a diy tournament to be loaded with Swos++ with exact groups like the real world cup. It should be released in some days.

Players rankings won t have transfermarkt values and automatically generated stats from SWOES as I ve noticed they are absolutely unrealistic. Differently from original SWOS, SWOES put always high rankings to the most important values for the role of the player, creating always very performing players. I used FIFA ranking converted in SWOS rankings (i.e. 80 2mn trying to reach that value with FIFA stats).
I think that the gameplay is more enjoyable.

Second, I edited some tactics and noticed how much tactics are important in SWOS. In modern updates we choose usually 4-2-4 or 4-3-3 which are anyway very different from the acutal 4231 or modern 433.
Using a classic 442, the game is more difficult than with 424 as.. in the second there are quite not midfielders.

I edited a modern 4-3-3, with closer midfielders and defenders creating defending diagonals and the game was actually harder and more enjoyable (this is just amazing for a game 21yrs old!)

EDIT: *** whoops, my bad I only just see that this is the PC forum ::) ***

Well I added both DIY files posted here to the career_1617.adf (using adfviewer) of the Amiga SWOS game, but this does not seem to work. It mentions made by another SWOS version , any suggestions?

I also have FS-UAE installed, and think I would then have to add it to Save Disk.sdf, but do not know how to open that file.

Japan were not that bad at the end ;D ;D ;D

Made some experiments always focusing on tactics.

Played Flamengo-Corinthians with FIfa18 stats, initially with standard 4-2-4 modules.
I won 6-0, 18 shots goal for me, 1 for CPU.

After I managed to set a 4-2-3-1 module dowloaded elsewhere, I won 4-0.

Then I created a 4-2-3-1 with modern positions, with lower midfielders pressing in their half, defenders pressing outside the penalty area and covering positions like diagonals following the ball.
Final score: 0-0, 11 shots on goal for me, 9 for CPU and several fouls and yellow cards.

Impressive how much this game is deep.
