I am trying to use the DualShock 3 PS controller which is being detected fine, however in the game menus and during game play only the triangle button and directional buttons work so I can only play short passes. I am unable to use lob pass or shoot. I have looked through the calibration options but this asks for x, y and z axis to be moved in various directions (not sure what z is but assume x and y are direction buttons?). This seems to complete ok but still only 1 action button works.

Any ideas for anyone using one of these?

Help yourself with joy2key: joytokey.net/en/download

Then, your problems should be solved!

Do you have any tips for mapping or assigning buttons as I can t figure it out. The software detects my button presses, i.e button 1 as triangle, button 2 as circle etc but how does this forward settings to SWOS as it still doesn t work?

Map in joy2key:

q = left
w = right
i = up
k = down
x = fire button 1
c = fire button 2

Then, go in SWOS++, controls, and select KEYBOARD. Choose keys from above.
Whenever you run SWOS, run joy2key.

Done!

SWOS = 1 button!! :)

2nd fire button is only for PC version, to call the bench!

What version are you playing?? Where did you download it?

Ah, maybe i m getting confused with the MegaDrive version which has A, B C as different functions. A was lob pass, B was shoot and C was short pass.

I have Sensible World of Soccer Amiga Total Pack version 1.5

Ah, Total Pack Amiga... now that is a different story!

Check SWOS control system:
files.swos.eu/manual/SWOS96-97/ check pages 13, 14!

Thanks for your help, that makes sense now. So basically I have to use directional buttons more now to control the action of the fire button. Will take a little getting used to compared to the MegaDrive. I suppose it s worth it just for the transfer system(which seems to be missing from the cut down version on MD)
