It s Transfermarkt. I agree that Football Manager is probably more accurate but it doesn t normally come out until November, 2-3 months after I start making the update every year.

I ll be posting a better one in the next couple of days with LOTS more changes.

i m new on this forum and swos fan since 1992...

Just big thanks for your great work Synchro, keep it on. I use your updates since a long time and there s absolutely NO CRASH !!!!!

But why most of attackers (for example) have the same 3 letters (TAV or VAT) ? I think it would be better if players have very different letters (some VAR, some RAT or VCR etc...)

Probably because:
1) the editor he uses to generate values generates those all the time (not being far away from the original)
2) because of the arcadey style of game some players would be in fact worse than needed with their real skills
3) no time to study the real skills for players that are not very well known

Sida79 is correct on every count.
Players I know have appropriate skills, and I try to give tall strikers good heading and short strikers good pace, but most strikers skills are generated by SWOES.
IMO this system, while it needs more variations, is still better than some aspects of the original SWOS data, where you can have a striker who is supposed to be decent but his only real skill is tackling so apart from sliding onto the end of low crosses he will be useless.
