Player value changes vs abilities

I ve never been able to quite work this one out for sure... sometimes I think I see it, sometimes I don t.

In career mode, your players values can change from the original purchase price, but they always reset when the player is sold on or you leave to manage another team.

Is this temporary modifier to a player s value just that, or does it represent a volatile change in their actual skills as well? When I buy Kanchelskis for £7m and his value drops to £6m, has he actually got worse in some way or is it just that his asking price that has dropped due to me not making best use of him?

As simple as that, huh? That s actually quite comforting; it means those guys I ve got camped out on the bench aren t being harmed then.

I m not sure I understood : when you chose a tactic, red crosses in front of the player means it s not this favourite position on the field and his value will decrease?
And when you ve got green ticks, the player s value increase?

V LB Van Damme 1M € -- His value will increase
X LW Van Damme 1M € -- His value will decrease ?

What about abilities? If a player on trial SCP (by examble) becomes a player of the A-team, his value will increase. 5 £, than 10, 20, etc...
Does he will get more fast, control better, etc?

I don t know, but i think it will be the same. The abilities will be the same the whole time, only the value will increase.
