I always loved to play these soccer games:

ISS Deluxe (SNES), an awesome game! Really a big one for me.
Striker (DOS), great ball physics for shooting.
Kickoff 97 (Windows) -- You could do some really dirty tackles there... ;D

also: your J.League database is like 3 or 4 years behind and oftentimes doesn t make much sense, btw, get it checked.

Is that at me? My current update doesn t include the J.League, I didn t have time, so of course the data included is the original 96-97 (very old) with the wrong team names (for licensing reasons) etc.

If I had a J.League database it would be tidy and correct ;)

I m gonna provide you some data then, been following J.League religiously since when I was a kid (by the way, the original 96/97 data Sensible Software relied upon wasn t completely correct either, aside from the mangled team names that were pretty much unavoidable due to copyright issues they ended up mixing up rosters from 94 upwards for a lot of teams, especially for the ones that belonged to the former 2nd division/JFL)!

FIFA is fawking amazing this year, I ve been one of the biggest detractors of the series up until now but boy, did they get this right this time around.

Basically, it flows like Football Kingdom, controls better than Winning Eleven, plays like a sim, looks (finally) like a true next-gen title and most importantly it s unbelievably fun in multiplayer (whether it s online - there s no lag whatsoever btw - or in local with your friends). Presentation and players characterization are still lacking but who cares honestly, the gameplay s so good I ll gladly turn a blind eye at that.

A def cop if you own a PS3 or a 360, I m loving every minute of it.

Excluding SWOS, it would be Striker for Amiga and also the PC version of it.

I allways played football games. There is a game that I really enjoy, Microprose Soccer, then I meet Lothar Matthaus and I play a lot of time this fabulous game. Now I´m playing Fifa 14 because of his online functions and is a very good simulator. But allways SWOS will be the best of the best

I really like Super Soccer on the SNES, when it comes to two player matches. Against CPU it is to easy and to much in one way so it is fun, but it is not very eciting after two or three matches vs. cpu.
Maybe I should try Super Formation Soccer 94. It is based on Super Soccer but only released in Japan.
