The xxxx are for players that joined after the original deadline (7th June....). Allowing the late entries has skewed things a bit, in that the order is not as per the original conception. My justification is that (1) the more players the better, so happy for late entries, and (2) once the team selection process had started I do not want to undo selections. In this way late players have been added to the list after the players who have already chosen. Hence the xxxx because the ranking is no longer so relevant.

I have also been away on holiday, and missed some of the later joiners. Sorry pallister, as you should have been given an earlier pick.

However I hope it will all still work as a tournament and everyone enjoys it!

Also, I see that infiltrate has joined recently too. You get the last pick my friend!

m8...one group only?

It is a bit too much match, and tournament style is more authentic and more thrill. My vote for tournament not 1 group (and I guess Lestat may agree.)

It was always planned to be in league format, and I know I originally said 2 groups if more than 16 players entered....
But I feel that the league format would work if we give enough time, so we have two months to play the games. Also, I think the one big league would work because:
- everyone plays each other (ideally) and that is the most fair way
- some will probably drop out
- there will be people on holiday etc so we have lots of time
- it doesn t have to be the same as the real world cup - we haven t got 32 teams for a start!
- and most of all, I would like all teams to play each other to see who gets the championship!!

If there is enough objection, we could break it down to two groups as per original plan.

Oh, and thanks to RockandRoll for helping when I was on holiday!!
