Re: Sensible World Cup

Now that the football season is over, is something lacking? Yes, there s no World Cup or Euro Championships!

Lets fill that void with an online Sensible World Cup!!

With a nod to Pallister s CTWC, the plan is to work on a handicap system, which I think should make things interesting!
The tournament is open to applications from now to the end of 7th June. Please post here, or join in the tournament page on sensiblesoccer.de

Here s how things will work:
- once the application window is closed, all players entered will be sorted according to their SRN ranking
- starting with the lowest rank, players get to chose which national team from the SWOS national teams (no custom or club teams) they wish to be
- each swos national team can only be selected once
- next player up the ranking can then chose from any of the available national teams

The deadline for selecting your team is 14th June. Any player who doesn t pick a team will be not be counted.

This means there are two ways you could chose your team: pick the swos team you like best OR pick the country you like best !
And if you wish, you can send me your list of teams in order of preference (best to give me at least ranks 1-10) to speed up the team selection process. Otherwise, I will need to go through you in order.

The tournament proper will run from 1st July to 31st July (as I am on holiday at the end of June!!) and will be a straight league (if we have 15 or less players), two leagues with a playoff for the top 4 (1st and 2nd from each) if we have 16 to 30 players.
