Huracan Buceo 0 Danubio 5 (5-19 shots)
Total blow-out. Recoba grabbed a goal, then Loveira scored 4 more.
No proper chances for Huracan...just distance shots straight to the keeper.
Javier Bordads sold for 225K (25 more than he s worth
).
Danubio 5 Cerro 0 (16-5 shots)
Bianchi grabbed 3, Loveira the other 2 in a match of two halves.
Danubio only scored via a Bianchi rebound in the 1st half, but
turned on the style in the second.
Danubio 2 Bella Vista 4 (13-7 shots)
Two knocks to our attackers meant they both had to come off.
Loveira got a goal before being substituted..Recoba grabbed another in the second half.
Two distance shots....two rebound goals...one proper save...enough said....
Nacional 1 Danubio 3 (8-9 shots)
The crunch battle between the numbers one and two in the league,
both tied on 24 points from 10 games.
A long distance free kick after 9 minutes gave Nacional the lead.
A few hairy moments after that, but then it was normal service as usual.
Loveira grabbed two, Bianchi added the third 10 minutes from time.
3 points clear, midway through the league.
Danubio 3 Penarol 2 (7-7 shots)
A dreadful first half in which our defence was peppered with long balls
and our Gemein, Gemeiner, Gemeinest keeper conceded two goals.
Two down at half time...then the Loveira show started.
A hattrick which could have been more and Danubio kept all three points.
Luis Cuello left the club for his precise valuation.... 200K.
Penarol also put in a 550K bid for Ros...but refused to offer more.
