Yes, I would suggest to stay on 1984/85. Of course the goal should be to realize an update where a career with many seasons is possible without any crashes.
I started with italian serie A 1984/85 and I am almost done, therefore I would suggest to the other partecipants to concentrate on other leagues.

I would also suggest to keep in mind roughly the following team rankings when editing the player skills:

Overall Europe:
1) Liverpool (European Cup 1984/85 runner-up, European Cup 1983/84 winner)
2) Juventus (European Cup 1984/85 winner)
3) Real Madrid (UEFA Cup 1984/85 winner, UEFA Cup 1985/86 winner)
4) Bayern Munich (two times European Cup runner-up between 1982 and 1987),
5) Everton (Cup Winners Cup 1984/85 winner)
6) Bordeaux

England:
1) Liverpool
2) Everton
3) Manchester Utd
4) Arsenal
5) Tottenham

Italy:
1) Juventus
2) Inter
3) Roma
4) Verona

Spain:
1) Real Madrid
2) Barcelona
3) Atletic Bilbao
4) Atletico Madrid

Germany:
1) Bayern Munich
2) Hamburg
3) Werder Bremen
4) Cologne

France:
1) Bordeaux
2) Nantes

Other important outsiders in the european cups should be:

1) Anderlecht (Belgium)
2) Dinamo Kiev (USSR, easily obtained from Spartak Moscow)
3) Ajax (Holland)
4) Porto (Portugal)

Considering the above, the following team-swap could easily and quickly obtain such "ranking":

- Manchester Utd <-> Liverpool
- Atletic Bilbao <-> Deportivo La Coruna
- Atletico Madrid <-> Valencia
- Aston Villa <-> Everton
- Roma <-> Milan
- Inter <-> Parma
- Dortmund <-> Bayern Munich
- Hamburg <-> VFB Stuttgart
- PSG <-> Bordeaux
- Spartak Moscow -> Dinamo Kiev

Regarding the players, I would say:

1) Michel Platini (Juventus)
2) Diego Maradona (Napoli)
3) Zico (Udinese)
4) Rummenigge (Inter)
5) Preben Elskjaer (Verona)
6) Ian Rush (Liverpool)
7) Bernd Schuster (Real Madrid)
8 ) Emilio Butragueno (Real Madrid)
9) Lothar Matthaus (Bayern Munich)
10) Alain Giresse (Bordeaux)

Ballon d'Or or Onze d'Or ranking could be checked to establish such player rankings.
For example:

footballyesterdayandtoday.blogspot.com/2...ze-de-onze-1984.html
footballyesterdayandtoday.blogspot.com/2...ze-de-onze-1985.html

PS: In my current editing of serie A, the price of Platini is 10M.

Yes, the question "where to share the files" is the most important one !
Is there a section here for that purpose?
What should be shared? TEAM row files or a human-readable csv conversion? (for instance using AG_SWSEdt) ?

we need a discord channel to be able to communicate faster, and where we can pass files.

Correct, peppe!! Good idea!

One of you guys should open a Discord server, and invite people who post in here. Get organized, folks!
I can contribute with Germany (Bundesliga 84/85), but I can't take the lead. Too busy right now.
