Anybody know how the game calcs the star ratings?
Star rating correlates to price value:
0.5 star = 25-40k
1 star = 50-75k
1.5 stars = 85-150k
2 stars = 160-250k
2.5 stars = 300-600k
3 stars = 650k - 1M
3.5 stars = 1.1 - 1.8M
4 stars = 1.9 - 3.5M
4.5 stars = 4.5 - 10M
5 stars = 12 - 15M

Edit: Star ratings should be correct now.
I guess the only thing missing now is the special skills?
Edit: Non-league teams are also still missing (they are in the database but there is no link to browse to them)

There is a C implementation already available so it should be an easy conversion for someone with php experience!
The encoder/decoder should accept an array of bytes as input, and return same as output.

The file I uploaded crashes after you play 1 career game.
I ve tried importing individual teams into the original file, but as soon as I import one, the file crashes again.
Any ideas? Otherwise I ll just have to re-enter them again.
Is it because I edited the 2 non-league teams too?

I set the players with transfer value 0 to value 25k- in swosed. Then pressed the triangle to create the skills automatically.
I see! OK so it looks correct then (no corrupt data format).
But didn t playa say we were going to stick to skills in the range 0-7?
Does anybody know for sure what the skills over 7 mean? I know that [0-7] == [8-15] but what effect does it have in game?
I read one theory that it determines the 3 special skill letters, and another theory that said players with attributes over 7 get higher wages in career mode...
P.S. I think I ll have the site online for tonight. You can create your own datasets and upload specific team files. It s handy for inspecting edits without loading the game. And very soon, the data will be editable online : ]
