Roll = surname.

Rock and Roll is a nickname friends gave me many many years ago and it suits my musical taste just fine.
Especially when people shorten it to Rock.

Oh, and I like the way it gets abbreviated to R R...Rest and Relaxation are cool too :.

Why Root....my surname is Korzenecki (which you can translate to english as Rootkinson)
Korzeń (my real pseudo) means ,,root ...taram!

That s easy:

As a big fan of Doom Legend Saint Vitus en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Vitus_%28band%29 , I chose the nick and shortened it to Vitus.

The Band itself took the name from christian saint Vitus en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitus .

Also it s a reference to the Black Sabbath Song St. Vitus Dance appeared on the 1972 release Vol. 4. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sabbath_Vol._4
Well and 1972 that s also the year I was born.
