SWOS Vista Download was created by Dale
Is there any way at all that I can download a version of SWOS and play using Vista. I have downloaded the total pack and it is not working (no matter how hard I try!). The message I am getting is sayin version not supported. The message I get via dos when trying to start talks about an illegal descriptor..... please help me!

Is there anyway that any version of SWOS can be played via Vista. I have downloaded the total pack and everytime I try to play the game i get the message that the version is not supported. I also get a message via dos of an illegal descriptor, please help!

I have done that and the game starts to load, goes through the credits then crashes?

Not that I play PC SWOS that much as I think the amiga version is much better, but I tested the total pack in Vista and it worked fine. Are you installing it on Program Files folder? If so, try installing on another directory.

Like I told you on the other thread the total pack should work on Vista.
But if what you want is a version of SWOS to play on Vista get the amiga one, it s much better ;D

Hmmm, that s strange. Install it to another location, eg C:\games\swos and try again!

I m sorry to be a pain, but i m not tecnically gifted! Thank you very much, I have downloaded that file but when I am going to run the program I get the message WINUAE could not create registry keys then followed by No kickstart found in the following screen.

Again, do not install on Program Files as that usually causes problems in Vista. About the kickstart ROM, you will need one to be able to run the game. Should I send it to the email on your profile?
Other big advantage for the amiga version is that you will be able to play online.

That is most kind, yes it is that email thank you!! As suggested I installed under games/swos but still the same problem. The credits start to load and just as the music kicks in after the renegade logo the dosbox crashes and exits?
