In game joypad mapping?

First of all, go to OPTIONS / CONTROLS in game to check if your controller is selected as PLAYER1.

If you still need mapping then better map it outside of the game!

Then no mapping should be required. Run SWOS 2020, go to OPTIONS / CONTROLS and select it as PLAYER 1. Set PLAYER 2 to NONE.
