PC SWOS 16/17 slowing down often

I play a career on PC version of SWOS 16/17 and while playing matches things slow down often. The only change I did to dosbox was to make it run fullscreen. It s on a laptop with i7-2630QM cpu, GT 635M gpu and 8GB RAM.

Things often slow down for repetitive short periods throughout matches, reducing playability.

Please help

I can t really say accurately but I think sometimes it slows down for a very short period like a few seconds or less and that kind of thing repeats for a rather small fraction of the match. Sometimes a slowdown happens most of the match.

I just quit dosbox and start the game again.

I am new here but a long time lurker. Just to let you know I also used to have this random slow down effect on the PC version of SWOS on the total pack, so this week I did some tests with different settings. I found the slow down completely went away after I started using the original graphics, I don t know if you are using any new graphics with the 16/17 PC SWOS but if you are I would turn them off.

Anyway I thought I d share in case anybody else experiences this issue, especially on the total pack 96/97 version.

I did not change graphics settings other than making dosbox run fullscreen. How do you change that setting ?

How can I do that ? Am I supposed to copy paste data folder to a SWOS 96/97 game ? Where to download SWOS 96/97 ?
