Okay, let me throw in my 2 cents. You want to convert Sensible Soccer values into todays market prices, because it is more realistic to get irl values? Swos was never a very realistic game. It was made as fast paced fun soccer/football game.
AFAIK a certain value in swos = x number of skill points. Once you get passed 15 million £ there is no more skill points to get (the players is maxed out). So it doesnt matter. He is just more expensive to buy. thats all.
I have never messed with a hex editor, to see if a player s skills improved due to value getting higher so I cannot confirm it either. But I never felt players getting slower due to fall in value either. The SWOS career mode was groundbreaking when it came out, but compare it with todays manager games it is very limited and simplistic.

Sorry, dude, but I had a lot of work to do.
I attach two english.exe files in two rars. The first exe contains the old players’ values and transaction maximum and the new bank balance maximum to 999 M. The second contains all the news: new player values, transaction, bank balance. Extract them into different folders.
Some remarks:
1.Because of the higher players’ values the costs (genereal running and player wages bill) are much bigger as the increment of gate receipts. Therefore, when you start a new carrier, start the game with the first or original version. Save your carrier, close SWOS, load the second version into the root folder and play. In this case the program uses roughly the original costs and receipts.
2.For the same reason before you finish a season, save your carrier, close SWOS, and load the first version (or the original, if your bank balance under 100M) into the root folder, finish the season and at the beginning of the new season save your carrier. Close SWOS, load the second version and play.
3. When you changes the versions and start the game, DOSBox or D-Fend Reloaded will signal checksum error. Ignore it and push Yes.
4. Save your carrier file(s) into another folder too, until you get used to the right order.
Good luck! I hope, you will find it great.

I found out accidentally how can I raise my bank statement
Wednesday evening I finished a season and began a new with the first version. Last night I continued the season and bought two players for 1.5 M and 2 M. I recognized that I play with the first version yet, so I closed and loaded the second version. Their values were already 8 M and 13 M. I sold them and I earned 17.5M! ;D
