What exactly are you objecting to? It looks like he has done all the editing/config himself?
Do the gfx updates belong to somebody else?
Point1: Selling swos as a pirated copy is illegal!
Point2: Using fan updates / tutorials / install packages from other people, who did it for free, and make money of it, is ripping off!
Point3: Without asking, even brazen!

He claims it is abandonware. If it is not, then distributing copies for free is just as illegal as selling them.

Nice claims.
SWOS is not abandonware, even though some websites offer it for download. Among them are ourselves, but we are tolerated by Codemasters!
The claim of having updated that by himself isn t worth a penny, looking at the updates of 15/16 on here.
The gfx is copyrighted by Codemasters, too. You can edit that for personal use, sure. But making money with it? See above.

I have no problem with people selling stuff like this, but I agree that he shouldn t be doing it if it is illegal, or if he s using other people s work without permission.
I liken it to GNU/Linux. It s perfectly acceptable, and good for the community, for people to offer custom packaged versions with support for sale.
If people can make money selling boxed versions of Ubuntu (and they do) then good on em, as long as they aren t violating any of the licenses.
