Need Advice setting up...

I used to have Amiga 500 and went through a number of competition pro joysticks (and blistered hands) playing SWOS back in the 90s.
I now want to rekindle that magic.

Ive been reading through the forums and seen some interesting info (PC vs Amiga, online playing, etc) but want some final advice on choosing the best route to go down.
Your comments on the below would be great:

1. I have a PC with a good spec, however im on 64bit Vista which may cause problems on installation choice (Amiga or PC version?)
2. Id prefer to stick with Amiga version, as I remember playing PC version back in 90s as well and it was crap.  From looking at other posts, it looked like CM were going to release a new Vista version but it fell through?
3. Id like to be able to play this with my old mate (who I used to play with). An easy installation would make life easier at his end.
4. Id also like to get a pair of competition pro joysticks (via USB)

In an absolute ideal world, especially in regards to #3, an executable that installs the emulator, game, and contains details on how to setup online gaming as well.

So, should I stick with the emulator option and go for the old school SWOS or has there been something newer released thats just as good? (F-that 3D version).
Is there also an active amount of people to play online with? And id read people having problems with different connection speeds (lag?) - Is there also leagues that you can feed results into without cheating?

Thanks, look forward to hearing your advice/pointers.

Use this version, for online and offline (career):
www.kaes.republika.pl/Setup_ASWOS2.exe

Here are three guides which help you out.
How to meet other players for online gaming:
files.sensiblesoccer.de/mag/swos_chat_tutorial.pdf

How to use the online client:
files.sensiblesoccer.de/mag/swos_online_tutorial.pdf

How to use the website www.sensiblesoccer.de
files.sensiblesoccer.de/mag/swos_website_tutorial.pdf

Sure, there are many leagues from different countrîes, a season lasts 1 month:
sensiblesoccer.de/index.php?site=online_amiga_tabellen

The most important thing for playing online SWOS is to join the chatroom and get in touch with people.
It s most frequented between 6 and 11pm. After work.

Don´t do that !!! The Speedlink USB Comp Pro  are not that good. The microswitches are often broken after a few days. The whole stick is worth less than a fart ;) I broke 3 in 5 days !!!!

If you want the original Amiga feeling use original 9-pin Comp Pro (or any other Amiga-Joystick) with an USB-to-9pin-adaptor . Search on ebay for that .

Thats some great links.  :)  :)  :)
Ive got that exe installed and been able to use my keyboard to play a few mataches offline in career mode.

Do I have to manually change my screen resolution settings in order for the WinUAE window to be full screen?
Clicking Full Screen/Full Screen RTG did not seem to actually apply the Sensi window to my whole screen.

Ive also registered with SensibleSoccer.de.
However, clicking the chatroom link does bring up a window, and I was able to post a comment and receive a reply, but it was so slow and I kept getting disconnected.  Is this cos im in Australia perhaps? My connection speed is not the problem.

On a side not, id like to get hold of a pair of original Comp Pros (or a decent version, not a takky imitation version), so perhaps Wänä81 might be able to point me in the right direction? Im in Oz, and just did some googling/ebaying but nothing came up, looks like I may have to order from overseas.

Use following settings

Width 384 x Height 288

LineMode - Normal

Settings - Correct aspect ratio and Lo-Res

Then maximize the window.

Ah , and about the joysticks , i thought you want to buy the Speedlink USB Comp Pro ;D

Thanks that works great.

Although ive not played online yet, ive sorted out chatting in IRC.

Final thing i need to sort out is getting a pair of comp pros.
Anyone know where I can get some?
Can you setup two joysticks on one machine?
Do they still do the clear comp pro?

And also, how do I save the window size settings to be default for WinUAE?
