Where are those 10s?

Really weird...

I ve been wondering what happened to the most famous shirt number in two quarter-finalist of Champions League, namely:
- Bayern
- Liverpool

Isn t there a player worthy wearing number 10 right now or is this number reserved like in NBA, or what? I m really curious.

In other CL quarter-final teams numbers 10 are/were:
- Arsenal - Gallas
- Barcelona - Messi
- Chelsea - Cole
- Man. United - Rooney
- Porto - Rodriguez
- Villarreal - Cani

BTW - interesting in how many clubs it is the case they give 10 to their BEST player...

Makaay had the 10. He left.
Toni s number is the 9.

And Bayern did not have a classic playmaker and didn t play a respective system which would take hold of a classic 10.
Maybe next season with the new coach.

Our no 10 was playing for Hertha in 2008/2009.

Liverpool no 10 since the start of Premiership 1992/93:

John Barnes == Michael Owen == Luis Garcia == Andrei Voronin.

No proper no 10 since Barnsey.
