SWOS Nations Cup

First edition of Nations Cup will be officially open at 18th of December of 2007. Below you can find the list of players and tournament rules. Note that I m still waiting for Greek player names, but to avoid more delays in the tournament start I decided to start now and will add greek team next weekend when they give me their squad list.

Tournament Format and Rules:
We play a league with 2 rounds. Everyone plays against everyone EXCEPT against the players from the same country.
I prefer not to set a timeframe for the tournament, therefore it will be finished when 100% of the games are played. But I d like this to be played in at most 2 months.

Each team has a team captain that should ensure that his country players are playing their matches. If a player isn t playing their games the team captain should replace him for another player and let everyone know through the forum. The new player will be added to the league, but will only play the missing matches of the player he is replacing. The old results WON T be deleted and will count to the country points. Additionally I reserve the right of removing a team from the competition if their players don t play their matches during a reasonable period.

The points of each country will be the sum of the points of that country s players. The country based table will be updated on this topic everytime I enter the results.

At the end of the tournament there will be individual medals for 1st,2nd and 3rd place.
I would also like to give team based medals for all the players from countries placed in 1st,2nd and 3rd place, but I still need confirmation from the admins if this would be possible.

Resultsheet:
If you want you can make use of my Excel resultsheet that is attached to this topic to take note of your results (I used the one I made for CTWC), that way it will be much easier for you to know against who you already played. That way you will never play twice against the same opponent by mistake
