I know this has been discussed before, but the topic seems to be locked now. I have the SWOS 96/97 upgrade disks for amiga:

but I can not get them to work, does anyone know how they should be loaded? I have tried loading the first disk but nothing happens. Should an original SWOS disk be loaded first?
Also will they only work with SWOS 95/96? As I only have 94/95 (about time I got an upgrade!)
Thanks in advance for your help, not sure how busy the forums are at the moment as the website isn t fully online yet?

Only for 95-96, yes. Doesn t work with 94-95. You should load disk 1 (IIRC - it was 16 years ago that I did this) and it tells you what to do from there.
If disk 1 doesn t work then it might be likely that your disks have died of old age.

Thanks for the advice.... The disk is dead I think, I checked it in XCopy and there are quite a few errors, tried making a DOS+ copy but still doesn t load, anyone know or anyway to revive an old disk like this?
