Racing 0 Danubio 5
With Loveira still slightly injured Recoba was still in the match day squad...
He scored four before Bianchi headed in the fifth. Easy game in which Racing just shot from long distance straight at the keeper.
Our evil keeper didn t have to dive!
Moran got a kick and will miss the next two matches.
Danubio 1 Huracan Buceo 1
Whatever the Danubio Dynamite did...they could only muster a sole Recoba strike.
The one time Gemeiner had to do something from distance...he didn t......
Alejandro Disiervi sold to Defensor Sport for 500K (50K more than he s worth ).
River Plate 1 Danubio 2
He s back!!! Loveira grabbed his first two of the season, he s now worth 100K!
River Plate (no not that one, the other...) had their moments in this game, Danubio kept missing clear cut chances,
but still held on for the win.
Madrid took a bad knock, and he ll be out for a week.
Danubio 7 Liverpool 0
Liverpool (no not that one, the other...) started well, but Recoba struck twice to give Danubio a hard-fought 2-0 Half Time lead. Loveira added a third just before Bianchi came on as a substitute.
Bianchi grabbed a hattrick and Loveira sealed the 7-0 rout.
I wonder if this Liverpool is up for sale too????
Progreso 3 points back in second place, with two more than arch-rivals Nacional.
Defensor Sport 0 Danubio 3
The first half was sheer Bianch brilliance as he scored a hattrick while Defensor were playing good stuff in midfield.
Second half was better, but strangely enough no more goals...
An offer was made for Nikitiuk, but they refused to match his valuation.
Bianchi and Moran are now both worth 10K, and Rodao 60K.
Gemeiner is meanly priced at 100K while Loveira has a whopping 110K price tag!
Danubio 5 Penarol 2
Penarol opened and started the scoring, but the match was all Danubio.
20 shots to 6, four Loveira goals (one by Recoba) and Penarol were Pwned .
Ruben Alzueta sold to Defensor Sport for 550K (100K more than he s worth!).
Central Espanol 1 Danubio 6
Bianchi was the man of the match grabbing the first five of the game.
Then, he got a big kick . Espanol grabbed a consolation goal (okay, I just about
let them so I could substitute Bianchi) in injury time.
Recoba replaced him...and scored .
But...Bianchi is out for 4 weeks, a big blow to Danubio as he was the man in form.
Progreso are now 5 points back.
Cerro 0 Danubio 1
Man of the match...Cerro s keeper.
The only shot he conceded was a Loveira penalty...who was fouled, took the penalty, scored (the first one I ve scored in Uruguay by the way), and then was substituted.
Loveira is gone for 4 matches....
Dorta took a bit of a kicking too and is out for one.
Danubio 2 Nacional 1
The team I struggle the most against...and it showed.
Missing our two in form strikers, Lopez got another start but didn t shine.
Recoba opened the scoring, Nacional equalized before Recoba got the winner 16 mins from time.
A deserved victory which was almost lost when a foul which wasn t seen by the referee allowed Nacional a free passage to goal. Thanks to a mean Gemeiner save and a Madrid header off the line in the rebound, Danubio held on.
Gustavo Nikitiuk sold to Rampla Juniors for 450K (100K above his worth!).
Danubio now have more than 10 and a half million in the bank! Who wants some?
Rampla Juniors 2 Danubio 2
We might have heaped praise on Gemeiner last game, but he had a nightmare this time around.
Two shots from distance...two goals....
Rampla went on a rampant rampage again, injuring Ros and Dorta (luckily Dorta is fully fit and Ros is only bandaged).
Lopez had another shocker..we need our strikers back!
6 points clear of 2nd placed Progreso at the top of the league, and that s the next game!
Bianchi is out for one more match, Loveira for two.
For all those La Luz fans, I ve posted their current league standings too, as well as their current squad.

season finished
FINALLY!!! - after a thriller game against River Plate Mr. Friendly League was noticed in Europe and sent an offer from Marseille! (European Cups here we come). Of course the offer was accepted after the season end...
Marseille wanted Mr. Friendly League so badly that they sent some players in good price to convince Danubio board of directors unfortunately Gravelaine seems to be a disappointment (only 1 goal after 11 games of Uruguay Premier new season, and Danubio is only second behind Penarol...) At least in the very last game of our last season in Uruguay we trashed Penarol 13-1
Of course Recoba and W Lopez are travelling to Europe with us
Have fun next in the sunny south of France!

btw - Marseille first sent Yordan Lechkov, and then the midfielder who appeared in his place - Christophe Papin (a twin brother of Jean-Pierre who never became a star in real football, only in SWOS in our FLGCM edition)
hehe - SWOS alternate reality ^^

10-1-1 after a dozen games sitting comfortably on top of the league. Young players still to settle in the squad, few of them doing quite well.
