I believe that (finally) playing in an environment that isn t affected by lag and/or input delay of sort (such as the Amiga 1200 - DB9 cable stripped and wired directly on the microswitches contacts + live matches + CRT monitor = zero lag whatsoever) with a controller that isn t a stiffy, 15 years old Quickshot Apache made all the difference in the world for me.

I just can t seem to get accustomed to Online/WinUAE lagged gameplay (huge props to those who can eh, however on WinUAE I just feel like the game is controlling itself most of the times, lol) thus the moment I got back on Amiga with a proper controller my performances got knocked up a notch (point in case being the fact that the best I could ever do online, even with the new Dual-Stick, was sending the ball in with a diagonal diving header after the first standing - and even then I did it like...twice - whereas like 10 minutes into my first SWOSxAmiga 1200 session with the new stick I was suddenly able to score insane goals and it actually felt like I had all the time in the world to send the ball wherever I wanted, effortlessly.

On the other hand when I recorded the arcade stick video playing on my HDTV felt horribly laggy (my TV s got a pretty noticeable scaling/postprocessing delay which is just too much for my playstyle) and even though I was on Amiga 1200 I couldn t play worth shit.

...and of course you ll be more than welcome to try out my controller at SensiDays (as well as everyone else, of course), you ll see with your own eyes that there s nothing fishy about it.



btw, thx Waenae for the heads-up and xflea, that video is friggin awesome lol. Also, in my defense, Angela Aki is actually half italian.
